It is here that Giorgio de Chirico—after years spent across Europe and a period in New York—chose to settle at the age of 60, living and working in this remarkable three-floor apartment-studio for the final three decades of his life.

Preserved as both a home and creative sanctuary, the space offers an intimate journey through the artist’s daily life, featuring his private rooms alongside the atelier where many of his later works were conceived. De Chirico lived here with his wife, Isabella Pakzswer Far, whose presence and care ensured the continuity of the house’s spirit well beyond the artist’s lifetime.

As De Chirico himself reflected, “Rome is the centre of the world, and Piazza di Spagna the centre of Rome”—making this residence, in his words, “the centre of the centre.” This private visit offers a rare opportunity to step into that very space, where art, life, and memory converge.
