ART, AWARENESS & INCLUSION IN ITALIAN SCHOOLS
Date: 02 November 2025
The LOVE YOUR EYES project brings the power of art and vision education directly into Roman schools. Through our dedicated LOVE YOUR EYES Labs, students explore eye health, creativity, and self-expression with street-art–inspired activities that encourage them to “see what they can do” with curiosity and confidence.
At the heart of the initiative is a commitment to accessibility and inclusion. Alongside each mural, we create a tactile version of the artwork, designed in collaboration with accessibility experts, so that visually impaired students can experience the piece through touch. This tactile replica transforms a visual artwork into a shared, multi-sensory experience—making art truly for everyone.
LOVE YOUR EYES is more than a project: it’s a movement that connects young people, educators and artists in a journey of discovery, participation, and inclusive vision.
The Love Your Eyes mural was created by artist Finley for the International Contact Lens Day, bringing a vibrant message of vision, creativity, and awareness to the heart of Rome.
To ensure the artwork could be experienced by everyone, the Love Your Eyes tactile version for the visually impaired was developed by Atlante Servizi Culturali and curated by Deborah Tramentozzi, transforming the mural into an inclusive, multi-sensory experience.
The project continued inside the community with street art workshops led by Mirko Pierri and curated by @a_dna_project at the Alessandro Severo Middle School in Rome’s San Paolo district, engaging students in creativity, participation, and visual well-being.
The International Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums wish to thank James Rasteh for contributing to this Art Access Project.
