> ABOUT US
The Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums is a non-profit organization of benefactors and patrons, dedicated to the restoration, conservation and perpetration of the vast, unique and priceless art collection of the Vatican Museums.
The Patrons of the Arts have collected funds to restore some of the most famous art treasures in the world. To mention just a few:
• The Pauline Chapel
• The Rooms of Raphael
• The Borgia Apartments
• The frescoes located on the side walls of the Sistine Chapel.
The Italian & International Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums, also support ART ACCESS projects which sustain, design and plan Art and Educational tours for the blind and the deaf and for people with disabilities in general. This type of tour is unique in its kind in Italy and allows everyone to access and benefit from unrivaled spiritual and artistic experience.
“…The organization aims to promote Italian and International culture, focusing on art in particular, to favour conservation and restoration of the works of art belonging to and displayed in the Vatican Museums. …. The organization shall promote and carry out projects that render art forms accessible to everyone, including the blind, the visually impaired, the hard of hearing, people with disabilities and children …” (article. 3 Statute of the Association Italian & International Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums.)
